Season of Miracles

By Dr. Phil Spears

As the golden leaves fall and the air begins to carry a crisp whisper of change, I’m reminded once again that God moves most powerfully in seasons—especially in the ones we least expect. This, my friends, is what I like to call a Season of Miracles.

You see, in life, we often look for miracles on mountaintops—those unmistakable, fire-from-heaven moments. But God is just as present in the quiet places: in the doctor's report that comes back clear, the prodigal child who texts "I’m coming home," the marriage that finds forgiveness after years of silence. These are miracles too. And they’re happening around us every day.

God Still Moves

Scripture reminds us that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8). The same God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Lazarus from the grave, who fed five thousand with a boy’s lunch—is still at work. The difference is, we often fail to look for Him.

If you’re in a season where hope feels distant and breakthrough seems impossible, let me encourage you: you are not forgotten. God does some of His best work in the wilderness. Think of Moses, think of David, think of Jesus Himself—miracles were birthed in the silence, in the waiting, in the unknown.

What Miracle Are You Waiting For?

Maybe you’re praying for healing. Maybe you're longing for reconciliation. Maybe you're just trying to keep your head above water. Whatever it is, don’t give up now.

Here’s what I’ve learned in my own life and ministry:

God doesn't always show up when we want—but He always shows up right on time.

So, what can you do while you wait?

  • Stay rooted in His Word – That’s your anchor.

  • Stay connected to the Body of Christ – That’s your support.

  • Stay expectant – Because faith is the soil where miracles grow.

A Word of Hope

I want to speak directly to the heart that feels weary: God sees you. He hears every whispered prayer. He counts every tear. And He is working behind the scenes in ways you can't imagine.

Don’t mistake silence for absence. Sometimes, the delay is the miracle in the making.

This season—yes, this one—can be your Season of Miracles. Don’t stop believing. Don’t stop praying. Don’t stop trusting. Because our God is still in the business of doing the impossible.

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” — Matthew 19:26

Closing Prayer

Father, For every person reading this who is in a season of waiting, I ask for Your peace. Let their hearts be stirred again with faith. Let them see signs of Your presence, even in the small things. Remind them that You are a miracle-working God—yesterday, today, and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

With love and expectation, Dr. Phil Spears
